  1. Im getting more control of it day by day. This happens for a few days now every two months when I have a relapse and then after a few days I get back on my feet again. I do exercise on a weekly basis. I do walks in nature, I lift, I ride my bike every now and then, and for sure, it helps a lot doing some kind of exercise to wear things off, not just to the body but to the mind as well.
  2. This isnt one of those seeking help topics or something like that, its just a way of sharing some of my not so happy experiences with the comunity and letting people who maybe are in the same situaition or a similar one: you´re not alone. Ive had drinking problems for some years now, it all started back in college when I was around 20, im 30 now so, 10s years ago give or take. I didnt have the will to drink nor smoking to much, I did it like regularly from time to time with my friends. The I got to college and I got lost in the crazy party live that college is. Met a girl, we stayed together for 4 years, she ended up leaving me for my drinking problems mostly, and I cant really blame her, since I wouldnt even date myself if I looked in the mirror back then and watched the monster I had become. I smoked joints too, not so much regularly but every so often. This life in college lasted almost 6 years. When she left me and I stayed there for two more years just working, paying my bills off and trying to get by and I was it with a severe depression, which I never really at the time looked for any professional help and I cant even say if clinicly it could be diagnosed as depression. The sympthoms of depression can vary from people to people, some with deeper and more severe levels that can even sometimes lead to suicidal thoughts, others with mid intensity level and others with just a glimpse of it that after some days it just completely disapears. It went like this for me: at first it started slowly, I still continued to party and do the crazy life when I could to bounce it off even if just for a few hours, but I just felt like nothing made sense anymore, even the things I loved to do like videogames and guitar for example just felt like a chore to me. For two years I was always like this, which is also the reason I eventualy decided to quit Arch/Design which I was studying at the time. I started working and I still stayed there for those two years, hiting on girls from time to time, getting wasted, doing all that crazy life. Over time in these two years my depression got worse. There were moments that could just last for minutes, hours or even days, when going to sleep was a way to get "high" and not feel anything for that time period. On days off or on free time I just stayed there, in a room alone, looking at the walls, sometimes crying and regreting that she left me and all the crazy stuff I did and the drugs I was a slave to, because at the end of the day, even things like cigaretes or alchool, altought not heavy like, for example, cocain, are still a type of drug, can ruin your live, sometimes make you numb to something like depression or other times make it even worse. Those days alone in a dark room sometimes I would get wasted at home until I went to sleep without feeling anything anymore, wake up next day, repeat it, other times I would just lie in bed, or comfortably numb looking at a wall for hours and hours. Eventualy I started getting some suicidal thoughts, thinking things like "what If I just ended it all? Would the pain go away?". These thoughts never really got to a point were I would actualy finish it all cause I didnt have the courage and im glad I didnt. At that time I decided it was better to return to my hometown and move back with my parents, by this point I was around 26 almost. I did that, I found a new job and during the next two years I would just balance from one job to another and find the next thing. Over this period of time I decided I want to do a half-degree in programing and It systems while working during the day and studying at night. This lasted for two years, I got a degree which would make me transition and get a job as a programer which I still have to this day and now im in the middle of my second year of computer enginiring. This part of my life got satisfied, I also didnt have to much trouble since I had always been good with computers and as long as I studied and went to class my marks were top notch. During these years the depression still just stays to this day as something that sometimes comes and goes. Its not as bad as it used to be. I started eventualy doing cocain and I got much better control over my alchool adiction. I never got the point where I needed it everyday, thats what a true junkie and crackhead is, their mood swings and they start getting paranoid if they dont have it every couple of hours. These days im trying to quit everything, I still smoke daily, although not as much as I used too and I only drink and do cocain like every two months or so when I have a relapse and the depression hits harder one week or another. After my last relationship I never got a girlfriend again, Im just too much afraid the same thing happens again since my last relationship took a piece of my mental sanity with it, and even though deepdown I wish I started something new with a new girl I just stay confined to my comfort zone, which I know is wrong if you dont take risks, but at least here Im safe. I hit it and quit with girls from time to time and I keep it casual. The depression now just has phases, which is normaly when I have a relapse and end up on alchool and cocain for like one night, eventualy it gets me numb and after somedays I recover and everything goes back to normal. Some weeks im more motivated, other im less motivated, and other weeks Im just here trying to stay alive with no will to ever leave my bed for whole days, but even so, i continue to fight against these demons that have posessed me and my adictions are much more controlled. I want to get to the point where I completely finish it for good. Thanks for letting me share, not trying to get any advice or anything, just letting some steam off and letting people in the same situation know they are not alone. In fact, I think this condition is pretty common these days with millenials and gen z. Unfortunatly.
  3. I was talking about drugs on the general chatbox and incentivasing kids to do some. Hell, Im even high on cocain after yesterdays night, my body is so f*cking numb right now. Every now and then its a good thing, helps your brain and muscles relax, it makes you new again. Just remember kids, do drugs responsaby, dont become a crackhead.^^ Hope I get banned for being this toxic. ^^ Been a pleasure talking and playing with you guys these past three months. Ralphatron out and about, I need to rest my wood leg now. ^^
  4. Guess I never oficialy introduced myself, since at first I kinda of got into the servers as a part-time hobby and a joke because I find the cs source zombie mods pretty funny, be it the skins, the zombie cries, tha animations, etc etc, I always have a blast when I have a gameplay session once or twice a day, or just a few times a week. Its also always a breath of fresh air from other main campaign single player games that I play, to just go into the server and shoot some zombies or do some cool bunny hop like Sonic sensei taught me, helps relax and steam off. ^^ Anyways, Im 30 years old, Im portuguese, I live in Portugal and my mother tongue is portuguese. Ive been studying english for years, I have a level B degree by cambridge I did during my highschool days. I dont regret it for one moment. It was hardwork doing an english course on a private school while also doing highschool at the same time. I was pretty busy back then but in the end it paid off, as of now Im pretty natural with english and it has become second nature to me. I also know spanish, some french words and I understand some japenese statements, being a japenese fanatic and an otaku, anything that is videogames and anime I pretty much consume. I love it, have been doing it for years, since I was a little kid and since I can remember. Started with anime like Pokemon, Digimon, Dragonball, etc etc. Have consumed pretty much anything that is mainstream, from One Piece, Bleach, Naruto to more recent ones like Jujutsu Kaisen, Boku No Hero, Demon Slayer, Black Clover, etc etc. Im also a videogame addict, im mainly an RPG player, but I love racing games (NFS, Mario Kart, Forza, etc etc), FPSs, some strategy games, etc etc. Some of my favorite games are: Pokemon Gold/Silver, Super Mario 64, Sonic Adventure, Final Fantasy VII, NFS Most Wanted & GTA San Andreas just off the top of my head right now. I love RPGs, im an expert in the field and ive gotten through many diferent RPGs over the years, also over many other videogame series. I never counted all the games Ive gotten through up to this point, but I can guarantee the list is over 100+ by now. I should probably make a list. I like to time my playthrough time for statistics. I cheat in some single player games like Elden Ring, Bloodborne, Dark Souls for example, which are some of the hardest games ive ever gotten thorugh. I dont care what people say, some games I just wanna have an easy time and get through the story. Thats good enough for me. I dont cheat online anymore, I did it on non steam 1.6/source more than a decade ago now, but I quit it, as I think using cheats online just purely ruins the experience for yourself and other players. When it comes to cheating lets just say I have a pretty decent amount of knowledge to the point I made cheats for games on the Pokemon rom hacking and fan games comunity. I love Pokemon, its probably my favorite gaming series of all time. Im also a metal core guitarist. Ive been playing eletrical and acoustic guitar since 2007, I got into the Metal scene and never left since 2010. Im a lead guitarist, im fast and I can play a lot of solos and pretty much the majority of all rythim riffs of any metal band. Counting up to now I guess im almost 20 years old into this field. I love music in general, although metal is my main scene I also like rock, blues, jazz, rap, hip hop, eletronic, etc. Im considering becomeing a DJ soon and start doing my own mixes. I also have a bass and I can play it well, not my main instrument but any lead metal guitarist will have an easy time getting into bass. I played drums for 4 years, ended up selling my drum kit. Just wasnt for me. Its a pretty cool instrument for natural born percursion people, I knew how to jam some songs, by I ended up quiting after a while. I stayed up on the guitar to this day, I have 6 eletric guitars, a bass, one acoustic and four amps (two tube amps, a marshall and a joyo, along with a harley benton cab, and two analog amps, a line 6 and a peavey). My guitars are: LTD, PRS, Ibanez, Harley Benton, Fender Squier and BC Rich. I also know the music industry pretty well and I have a big knowledge of brands, instruments, amps, etc etc, Ive played in diferent bands around my area just for fun, but I never made it a professional life style where I only do this. My favorite bands are Parkway Drive, Alice In Chains and Pink Floyd. I studied architecture and design in college for 6 years, ended up not finishing it as I started working and ended up leaving the course. It was never for me anyways. After a while I decided to do an half-deegre in computer science, called a TeSP course here in Portugal. My TeSP was Tech and programing of IT systems, which I finished two years ago, got the degree and an internship at a company in which I now work as a programer/software engineer. After that I got into computer engineering which is way harder and one of the hardest bachelors deegres out there one can take in college. I got direct transitions because my TeSP is pretty much computer science and engineering in itself, so im not doinf the full course since I already have some disciplines from my previous TeSP integrated on the computer engineerring bachelors program done. Im almost two years done into it, ill be finishing it by 2026 and ill become a full fledged computer engineer and senior programer by then. I love tech and computers, ever since I was a kid I always got around messing up with CLI on windows and doing small scripts and funny stuff. One of the main reasons I wanted to become a programmer is my love for videogames and understanding how pro langueages work in the gaming dev world. Its a pretty complex system that I only started getting into lately, and since Im a web/android developer I dont work directly with videogame programing, but I have my own personal lab time and reasearches that I do. This field requieres a lot of knowledge and reaserach time outisde of college study time. You never really stop studying it since tech is always evolving and inovating. Its also one of the highest paying fields out there with pretty big career oportunities. One simply has to love this field and dedicate themselves completely to it. Im a natural born curious person by nature, so I bend in pretty well with the tech comunity. Programing isnt just about writing code, creating algorithms and scripts, its much more than that. Programers are first and foremost problem solvers and logical thinkers. Programing langueages are a means to an end, an answer to a problem per say. Knowing how to program also requires one to have data base, networks, operating systems, data mining knowledge, etc etc, just to highlight a few. It probably goes without saying, but artificial inteligence is having a big impact and transformation in the world over the last couple of years. Its evolution has been a big step forward in the tech industry. How that will afect humanity is a whole topic of conversation we can start at a later date in which I would be more than happy to discuss since Im pretty interested in getting into the sub field of AI in the programing world. Besides paying well and making one rich its also a pretty interesting sub field of study. Im pretty inteligent, Im not a genius but Im a straight grade A student, my marks are top notch, even though I also got some Bs in networks and other less interesting sub fields of tech for me. Im doing pretty good for myself as a Programmer. I have a good income to the point where I live alone and not with my parents anymore. It allows me to pay my bills, afford a place and have food on the fridge the whole month while still doing the things I love and going out with my friends every once in a while to do some chick pick up. In these hard times were living Im pretty proud of myself for being able to be independent, but lets just say I study a lot and put a lot of hardwork to be in the place I am now. It wasnt always like this. I love CS, I have been playing since the early 2000s and since the first half-life. I got into 1.6 first, spent some years in it. Then back in 2006/2007 I got a phisical box version of Source which I still have to this day in my gaming collection of physical games. That was my first steam acount and I stayed with it up until almost 2013, when I got into CS: GO and would spend the next couple of years in the competitive world, which I did around 4000 hours. I had a clan and I was one hell of a sniper. After some years we disbanded, and around 2019 I dropped CS, I got pretty rusty and now I just play for fun. Age also changes people, you start having less time due too work and you just wanna relax when you get home. I guess I got pretty much adicted to Nide servers. I love you guys and I love this comunity, Im all in for helping and making the servers go forward and get more players. I also love pussy, but the people who play with me on revival are probably tired of hearing that by now. ^^ Im also studying the bunny hop arts under Sonic Sensei. Im a pretty funny guy and I love dark humor, so just know Im always joking in the chat and making fun of everything. I cant help it, its my nature. Lets continue to have a blast. ^^
  5. Now jokes aside, Im 100% with Chris. Both the servers should be completely steam only, for various reasons, but the main one being that on Steam cheating is almost impossible due to VAC. With non-steam players its a different story, even though cheats like Aimbot or Speedhack are pretty self-declaring and are caught fast, there are other cheats that are more cunning and sneaky to get a hold off, specialy dropable files and scripts like a aimhack, wallhack, no spread, no recoil, etc. Only cheaters recognize other cheaters, Im one of these. Ive cheated before on CS, I cheat on single player games, I mess with hexadecimal, decimal, octal and binary values, Ive built cheats for the Pokemon rom hacking comunity, I know how it goes. I dont cheat on online games these days, I dont find it fun anymore and steam gets you banned on the blink of an eye, VAC is just that powerful, even though some cheats can get bypassed. Its like in cybersecurity, if you want to catch hackers you gotta learn how to think and act like one, and some players on revival are using soft cheats that get bypassed by the naked eye. You have to be a cheater or have knowledge in the field to catch them, and non steam are much more likely to cheat and not get caught. Not saying the admins do a bad job, but many cheaters go bypassed. On the other hand, I think comunity servers should be oficial steam only. Non just because of the cheaters and the safety, but also because the oficial steam comunity is much better automated with updates, maps and stuff like that. Just my opinion, Ill go with whatever the admin and tech team decides, at the end of the day, I know theyre hungry for players and revival wouldnt survive without the non-steams if it goes like this. Also, the majority doesnt have the knowledge of how to buy steam or the will to do so, even though CS:S costs like 10 bucks when its not on discount sales. Its a big joke man, I cant help but laugh at it. Thankfuly theres Escape, Im slowly moving over there. But I love revival, dont want it to die. Well, like Spike Spiegel said, whatever happens, happens. ^^
  6. Steam is too expensive. Just buy a skin instead.
  7. There havent been that much players lately, on weekends fills up a bit more, but during the week its pretty much dead, sometimes not even 5 players at the same time. Im slowly starting to play in Escape too, I dont mind. Is it a problem with the latest update? Can the non-steams play? Just wanted to know whats going on with a tech answer since normal players dont seem to have an answer. ^^
  8. As a programer, an IT professional and a videogame lover I thought about making a tutorial about messing with DNS, IpV4 and IpV6 to try and stabelize high latency for players who have high pings on online games such as CS. I can't guarantee this will work for everyone, it has worked for me in the past and may or may not work for you depending on your ISP (Internet Service Provider). Since most online games have it predefined in their code wich servers to connect to, this won't make a big diference in the overall picture of the network, that would require messing with the game's code itself and I dont recomend doing that unless you know what you're doing. The goal of this tutorial is to try and make the upmost of the tools available to you as a user in your personal computer and make the fastest and most stable conection you can have with your ISP. With that said, lets have a basic understanding what DNS, IpV4 & IpV6 are and how they work together: Basically, all of them are Internet Protocols that work on diferent layers of the OSI & TPC/IP models: DNS - Domain Name System protocol, for short, turns domain names into IP addresses, which allow browsers, mobile APPs and computer software as an example to get to websites and other internet resources. Every device on the internet has an IP address, which other devices can use to locate said device, which can work as a server (provides services), a host (uses services) or both at the same time, which brings me to the next point; IpV4 and IpV6 - Internet protocol version 4 & 6, for short, every machine that requires an internet conection has both, be it a PC, a smartphone, a gaming console, etc. I won't get into much tech details here as going deep in this field of knowledge requires a deep understating of programing and networks, but Ill give you a brief explanation of the diferences of both. An IpV4 uses the base decimal numeric system to convert between binary (1s and 0s) and the decimal system (0 to 9) in computer translation machine code. An example of IpV4 is this: 255.255.255.000. IpV4 has been in use since the 90s and the range of IpV4 IPs on Earth is close to becoming overloaded, which is why IpV6 was created, and this one uses the hexadecimal numeric system (0 to 9, and A to F, A(10), B(11), C(12), D (13), E(14), F(15)). An example of an IpV6 adress is this: 2001:db8:3333:4444:5555:6666:7777:8888. Since the hexadecimal numeric system can alocate a wider range of numbers and letters in the form of binary bits in the machine code, the number of IPs available for machines across the network is way bigger, so we're slowly transactioning between IpV4 and IpV6. The later can fill a few planets, so we will be good to go in the next few decades. Both of them are used together with diferent protocols and in diferent network layers to comunicate with outside conections. Usualy your PC does IpV4 and IpV6 adressing automaticaly and I don't recomend messing with it unless you know what you're doing. Calculating and manualy setting IpV4 and 6 can mess with your network and comunications, so just leave it be as it is. What we will be changing is the DNS to try and make a faster and more stable conection with your ISP. Diferent DNSs use diferent IPs and diferent comunication protocols dependening on who the DNS ISP is. For example, two of the most stable DNSs that I have personaly used and still use to this day, along many other people are Google (IpV4: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) and Cloudfare (IpV4: 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1). Every DNS has IpV4 and 6 versions, you can change both of them if you like, but I recommend sticking with IpV4 as a start and work your way from there. Changing IPs on windows is pretty easy, and Ill go step by step on how to do it, so lets get to it: Step 1 - Download DNS Benchmark, save the .exe main file somewhere on your computer. Open it, go to the nameservers section and run a benchmark test. This will ping your ISP internet conection and search for the fastest DNS available to your location; Step 2 - On the search bar write Control Panel, open it, go to network and settings, then go to network share center and in conections open your ISP name conection; Step 3 - Go to properties, search for Protocol IpV4 version (TCP/IP), make sure both this one and IpV6 are toggled in the checkbox; Step 4 - Highlight IpV4 in blue and click properties again, go to DNS and select manualy set DNS, Step 5 - You have primary DNS and secondary DNS, which are both required in case one does not work or is not having a stable conection, your machine will try the secondery one to stabelize things. I always recomend using the same DNS ISP even if benchmark gives you diferent top two DNS. Apply and save changes. IMPORTANT NOTE: Diferent DNS combinations can work together, unlock other websites, make conections a bit faster or slower, and sometimes compromise your system or make it safer, but I assure you Google and Cloudfare are safe to use. This is also a good way of unlocking websites otherwise locked automaticly by your ISP. Now which ones to use will pretty much differ depending on where you live and your ISP, its a matter of testing diferent ones. I dont recommend changing IpV6 DNS or changing IpV4 or 6 on your devices and machines unless you truly know what youre doing and you made the conversions and calculations, so just stay within the IpV4 DNS range, use DNS Benchmark and try diferent ones. Again, cant guarantee this will stabilize your latency and make the game faster or more ping stable, you will just have to try for yourself. If you decide to do binary, decimal or hexadecimal calculations and eventualy change your IP to try diferent ones just open CMD (Comand Line Interface) on searchbar, type the command "ipconfig" to check your current IpV4 and 6 adresses. Again, only do and change IPs if you know what you're doing and if you have tech knowledge, specialy about networks. Nevertheless, hope this tutorial works and helps people with high pings for online games. Cheerz ^^

  9. For the steams who cant either play on revival or escape, I found this solution, downgrade the game to the previous build and wait until the server upgrade is completed. Heres the solution, not credited to me: How to downgrade Found this on the valve forums and works for me: Originally posted by Raymond the cat: If you want to downgrade this is how, thanks to Joel at KSF discord for this: How to downgrade successfully. Everything is done via the “Properties” menu. Right click css on steam and click “Properties. Go to “Betas” and select previous previous_build. Wait until downloaded in steam... Go to “Installed Files” and click “Browse”. Rename hl2.exe to cstrike_win64.exe Go to “General” and in “Launch options” enter: -game cstrike Just step 1 worked for me, when you finish downloading the previous build select it and apply, otherwise youre still stuck on the newest version. Hope this works for the people on the same situation, wish I had found this sooner. CheerZ ^^
  10. Just wanted to ask this since Im VIP and I have personal skin on revival, im steam as well, but I wasnt able to play since the update date started and could not have useful days for VIP or Skin. Are we gonna get extended as a compensation or is it not part of the update process? If not then not, I dont care and im not mad, but I think the players like me in the same situation on revival would be grateful to have extended VIP and Personal Skin for the days we could not use them since the update. Tnkx ^^
  11. Revival isnt on for us steams yet, at least I tried going in, midnight here of the 24th.
  12. Is the tech team parsing the revival server to the new update still? I can already play on escape but not on revival yet. Im steam. Just asking because I havent seen any update on discord or on the forums yet. CheerZ guys ^^
  13. They told me on the chat it was Tokyo or Name Tokyo, something something, I searched youtube and google, couldnt find anything. It has a singer in arabic or something similar. They say the words tokyo and la casa de papel, it sounds like techno. If anybody can tell me the name I would apreciate it, since fadi played it it has been stuck in my head ever since. GG ^^
  14. Thanks, much apreciated. ^^
  15. My skin is not on yet. Is something wrong? Is it not compatible? Do I need to choose another? Tnkx.
  16. That's fine, take your time. Tnkx again.
  17. Tnkx for the info, Ill wait.
  18. Hey guys, I bought a skin for zombie revival, this one: https://gamebanana.com/mods/220280 How do I aply it? Do I have to wait for an admin to parse it on the server side? CheerZ
  19. My name is Parry Hotter. I live at trogwarts and I love CS Source zombies, been playing from time to time on NIDE zombie revival, did not know you guys had a zombie escape server. Decided to join. CheerZ mates.
