  • Server Admin

Required:

  • Ingame Nickname: Sophistical
  • Discord username: SilentMime
  • Age: 25
  • SteamID76561199797097374
  • What server are you applying for (ZR or ZE server?): ZR

Optional: (Feel free to answer one or more questions)

Why are you interested in applying for admin?

I’m applying for admin because I genuinely enjoy being part of the community and want to help it grow in a positive, respectful way. I’m active, fair, and approachable, and I believe I can help enforce the rules, manage issues calmly, and support both the staff and members. I want to contribute to making this space welcoming and safe for everyone.

what time zone are you active in (NA or EU hours)?

EU in United Kingdom to be exact but usually I stay up at night as well when NA time zone is present.

How long have you been playing on the server which you applied for?

I have started playing on the server since last year September 2024

How experienced are you in the gamemode for which you applied?

I’ve been playing Counter-Strike: Source Zombie Revival for a year and I am very familiar with the core mechanics and how the server typically runs. I understand the balance between humans and zombies, how different classes and weapons are used, and the importance of teamwork and map awareness. I’ve spent a lot of time on revival servers specifically, so I know how to spot exploits, glitching, or unfair play, and I’m confident in helping new players adapt without disrupting gameplay.

On top of that, I understand the kind of behavior that can ruin the experience—like mic spamming, griefing, or camping in unfair spots—and I’m comfortable stepping in when needed. I enjoy the community side just as much as the gameplay, and I’d be committed to keeping the server fun, fair, and active.

Do you have any past admin experience?

I’ll be honest — I have zero admin experience, but I’ve spent a lot of time playing on Zombie Revival servers in Counter-Strike: Source and I know the gamemode well. I understand how the rounds work, how players are expected to behave, and what can ruin the experience for others — like glitching, unfair camping, or mic abuse.

I’m applying because I care about the community and want to help keep the server fun and fair. I’m responsible, active, and willing to learn whatever I need to be a good admin. Everyone has to start somewhere, and I’m ready to take on that responsibility and earn the trust of the team.

Do you have any other skills like (Mapping, Plugins, Drawing, Video editing etc)

Yes I do have some other skills and that's Mapping I have Created zm_lila_Sophistical, zm_alien_crab with Collaborator Kristian' zm_nacht_der_untoten and zm_call_of_duty_new1 and there will be more to come in the new future.

Hey Sophi,

First of all thank you for applying! you show genuine commitment, maturity and a good attitude towards teamwork and fairness. I often see you in the server, and from what i’ve experienced you fit in well with the regulars who are active there. Command knowledge will come overtime, what matters most is your willingness to learn and your positive involvement in the community.

for me it’s a +1

Greetings, sir Xidl of Greece. I'm gonna give you my unbiased opinion on your application. Here goes.

First & foremost, I genuinely appreciate your commitment & interest that you have put to the community. Having contributed immensely with maps & your activity. The only part I find to be a tad concerning is you having no admin experience, but I do firmly believe that you'll learn the basics of it if you put the time & commitment to it. Not much more to say aside from that.

Take a +1 from me. Best of luck on your application.

    • One of the most common problems people experience during online gameplay of any videogame besides Counter-Strike is high latency and ping. As proof of my comitement to the comunity and as professional in the IT field I offer my knowledge and help to anyone who is facing this under this topic. Shoot away your questions and dont be shy. ^^
    • Just before anyone ask me what kind of role I had on the projects I worked on and what kind of IDEs and prog langueages im most familiar with, ill give it a short answer: I started as a QA tester, became a junior prog and evolved to senior in around 4 years of exp since I finished my TeSP and while studying Computer Engineer. Ive also been a team leader for prog team and networks monitoring team for some months until a while ago where I decided to step down. The pay was good but my wish is mainly to program and not to do admin stuff. I prefer the tech part of the job where I have a problem at hand and I need to think of a solution. My github page is personal, dont ask me for professional company code as im not allowed by law and IT Society Work ethics and Engineering order to be able to share what ive worked on professionaly. But all my personal code is on my githhub page and available for anyone who has a need for it.  As for my tech skills list, my predominant langueages are Python and Java, I also like C, C# and C++, where ive been ehancing my skills lately. Programers and game devs who work with unity and unreal engines know what im talking about. Im pretty experiencied and fluent with Web Dev like HTML, CSS and Javascript. I also have experience with database design, administration and monitoring like SQL Server, MySQL and some non-relational databases like MongoDB. Im pretty good at solving problems with operating systems, mainly Windows and Linux. Im a pro at building PCs, specialy gaming PCs and I have phisical experience with hardware mouting for entreprises like servers and network equipment. Thanks and I wish you all a happy year. ^^
