7: Explanation of the situation: I had earth at lasers and turned around to use it but because of how items work there is delay between what player movement and item movement. From my pov I was looking at zm but because of the delay it’s faced at the people on left side. It’s unfortunate that people got earthed but it was not troll and I earthed because I seen zm. I looked at entwatch before lasers and did not think that items would be ready so I thought I would have to 180 earth. It’s not troll I hope in demo you can see from my POV that I look at zm and then turn around but because demos are 10 tick it might not look this way.

Obviously humans got earthed but I hope you can see in this video that there was no intent of trolling and I did try to stop ZM, but due to the way items follow players it ended quite badly. A lot of people got earthed but this doesn't deserve 3 months whenever I didn't troll and it was a mistake anyone could have made.

I know people's image of me is that I am a troll, so they will try to think of a 'worse case scenario', but truth is that is a real mistake that I admit to making. Giving me 3 months eban 'because I am a troll' doesn't make sense in my opinion and isn't fair from my point of view. If I blatantly trolled, 3 months would be suffice but it wasn't a troll. If a random person made the same mistake I hope they would only get minimal punishment because its not troll and shouldn't be punished as such. There should still be punishment, but the decision behind the punishment shouldn't be decided as if the person trolled.

Hello, I forgot to check demo yesterday so i didnt change the reason of eban, I wrongly thought that you were trolling. I originaly gave you a 1 day eban cause i wasnt really sure that you trolled. I will see with higher ups if we can stay on a 1 day eban counting from yesterday for "missuse".

Hello Maso,

Let's sum up exactly what happened.

dmCWT7r.png
You joined the server for the last stage, you didn't shoot the zombies a single time since you seem to have done 0 damage at the moment of the action.

FZu6pC5.png
You tried to hide somewhere in the final room before giving up and regrouping with your teammates.

You could have used Earth here after Bio went away since that's the classic strategy we've always been doing on Cosmo.

Finally, as you showed it so well in your video, you went to the right with your item on the lasers instead of staying in the middle even though you know the range of the item is bigger than what it looks. That ended up getting all the players on the left and middle stuck. You also used it at the same time as Wind instead of waiting 6-7 seconds since the zombies were getting pushed back.

Also Earth on Cosmo has literally no delay unlike the Earth on Westersand, you probably "panicked" even if it's hard to believe and used it before you even turned around.

Since you seem pretty inexperienced with this item, I recommend you watching this video and see how an actual good player uses Earth. This was from yesterday's Cosmo session. Next time you're not sure about doing something risky, try to think twice before going for it, especially if you've got quite a history.

With all that said, the staff has decided to cut your punishment down to 2 weeks instead of 3 months. This means that your punishment will now expire on 29 October 2025.

We hope you continue to enjoy your time on NiDE.

    • One of the most common problems people experience during online gameplay of any videogame besides Counter-Strike is high latency and ping. As proof of my comitement to the comunity and as professional in the IT field I offer my knowledge and help to anyone who is facing this under this topic. Shoot away your questions and dont be shy. ^^
    • Just before anyone ask me what kind of role I had on the projects I worked on and what kind of IDEs and prog langueages im most familiar with, ill give it a short answer: I started as a QA tester, became a junior prog and evolved to senior in around 4 years of exp since I finished my TeSP and while studying Computer Engineer. Ive also been a team leader for prog team and networks monitoring team for some months until a while ago where I decided to step down. The pay was good but my wish is mainly to program and not to do admin stuff. I prefer the tech part of the job where I have a problem at hand and I need to think of a solution. My github page is personal, dont ask me for professional company code as im not allowed by law and IT Society Work ethics and Engineering order to be able to share what ive worked on professionaly. But all my personal code is on my githhub page and available for anyone who has a need for it.  As for my tech skills list, my predominant langueages are Python and Java, I also like C, C# and C++, where ive been ehancing my skills lately. Programers and game devs who work with unity and unreal engines know what im talking about. Im pretty experiencied and fluent with Web Dev like HTML, CSS and Javascript. I also have experience with database design, administration and monitoring like SQL Server, MySQL and some non-relational databases like MongoDB. Im pretty good at solving problems with operating systems, mainly Windows and Linux. Im a pro at building PCs, specialy gaming PCs and I have phisical experience with hardware mouting for entreprises like servers and network equipment. Thanks and I wish you all a happy year. ^^
