North American Event and Mini-Event Suggestions

Hello, North American Event Players! 

     With the success of the North American Events over the past few months, many of you have asked for certain maps and have given us ideas.  We have decided to create this thread in order to let you suggest North American Events and Mini-Events.  We will not use every idea, but we will do our best to include as many as possible!

 

Guidelines:

• If we do not recognize you as a North American time player (you don't have to be from North America, you just have to play at North American times and events!), we will not use your suggestion.  Please understand this suggestion thread is only for the players who play North American Events and Mini-Events.
• The below list of recently played maps cannot be suggested unless they will be done with different Fun Modes or kickers to change the gameplay experience.
• At this time we will not do any FF maps (although this is a possibility in the future).
• Other than FF maps, please feel free to nominate maps that are normally time restricted for North America.
• If we choose your idea, we may need to modify it to make it work with the server settings, etc.  We may choose only part of your idea!

 

How to make a suggestion:

• Decide if this will be a Mini-Event, or a full Event.
• You guys love Fun Modes and kickers, so feel free to suggest any crazy ideas you can come up with!  See below for some ideas!
• For Mini-Events, try to aim for 2-3 hours of playtime.  This usually means one of the following:
  • 1-2 tryhard maps
  • 2-3 moderately hard maps
  • 4-5 easy fun maps
  • or, a combination of the above
• For Events, try to aim for 3-5 hours of playtime.  This usually means one of the following:
  • 2-3 tryhard maps or 1 extremely difficult/long map (such as Santassassination, Harry Potter, etc)
  • 3-5 moderately hard maps
  • 5-7 easy fun maps
  • or, a combination of the above
• Name your event!  Make it catchy and fun!  If you can, choose a theme for your event and pick maps related to that theme.
• Use your imagination and have fun!  Want to try some crazy mode on your favorite map? This is your chance!

 

Fun Modes:

• VIP Mode (one random player is made VIP, and given a beacon. If he dies, all players are automatically slayed)
• Blind VIP Mode (same as above, but VIP is blind! Note: this will only work on very easy maps)
• Healbeacon Mode (1-10 healbeacons assigned to random players, with a radius/size that can be changed.  Stay inside the beacons to gain HP, and lose HP outside the beacons.  The amount of HP gained/lost can be configured)
• Carnage Mode (Played with nemesis zombies.  Human to nemesis ratio is 66% to 33%, nemesis have low HP, and nemesis respawn.  Nemesis HP and knockback can be configured)

 

Additional ideas for kickers:

     Note: These are all possible with current server plugins.  If you come up with a new idea we can try to make it work!  Don't be afraid to combine Fun Modes with kickers, or create a new mode by combining kickers (for instance, VIP Mode + slow humans, or fast zombies + decrease zombie HP)

• Restrict any combination of guns/pistols/nades/freeze nades/kevlar/rebuys (for example: pistols only, TMPs only, no nades, no rebuys of any sort, only duelies + TMPs, etc.)
• Fast/slow zombies (choose % speed increase/decrease)
• Fast/slow humans (choose % speed increase/decrease)
• Increase/decrease number of mother zombies
• Increase/decrease knockback on zombies
• Increase/decrease HP on zombies
• Make normal zombies into nemesis
• Make nemesis into normal zombies
• Make zombies spawn among humans
• Make zombies spawn at start of map
• Turn on/off zombie respawn
• Fog (can vary the distance)
• Infinite ammo
• Disable/enable failnades
• Disable flashlight
• Disable bhop
• Low gravity

I don't know, i think a Tex themed event would actually require Heat to be in attendance.

Since the maplist has disapeered from nide forums, i used unloze's map list as it likely had the same maps and it sorted by admin and non admin maps
