  1. I agree 100% in that I find pedophilia to be disturbing. With that being said, this behavior is not encouraged and honestly maybe 1% of the server actually supports this. Personally, I usually just don't look at the sprays or you can ask an admin to ban the spray if it's so bad. Realistically, and how I function as an admin, unless an image is explicitly pornographic, or gore, etc. I ignore it. The alternative is if we start getting too aggressive with enforcement it will be a turn off to our active playerbase and we may lose players who may as well just play cs2 if they want a "safer" environment. Realistically I don't think people should post things like this but I think they should be allowed to. My personal hope is thst if someone posts disgusting things they are ideally brought into the community and ameliorate through becoming friends with people, or learning how bad this sort of stuff is through an open and honest discussion. If thst doesn't work, and players who dislike it may bully them until they stop spraying disturbing things or stop playing. I've seen both such cases and it's usually dependent on how the person receives criticism. Some c00l people used to be super edgy and then you have some people who never learn and just kinda get worse. I feel like having things like this is kinda the price you pay for playing on a server like nide, and your have to rely on the community to self moderate to a certain extent, as a large appeal of nide is the somewhat open approach i.e. anyone can come on and talk / map / spray almost anything. This results in cool edgy things like memehell but also some downsides like this. Also this could just be a 20 year old Chinese girl or an AI image.
  2. +1 i remember you were a good admin years ago, and unlike some former admins you've never trolled
  3. +1 long history and former experience being great
  4. Hello, and nice thread name, it's something km sure most ze players can relate to. Hope to see you around ze and getting to know ylu.
  5. +1 Always helpful, and haven't seen one instance of you being toxic.
  6. +1 But with a large caveat that you need to be mature as an admin and demonstrate that to everyone. You're active and care about the game, additionally you put in effort to the app. I think na is in severe admin shortage and you should be given a shot, with the caveat that you must be mature and act as an unbiased judge. I personally disagree with some implementation of rules (i.e. bhop automated bans) but i work within the system as an admin and try my best not to let my biases play into doing what is the general consensus of what is best for the server. If you do the same and act maturely I believe you can help nide a lot as you are active and engage with others.
  7. I honestly mixed up h4zrd with hzrd and was about to ask why no grasshopper tag when i first saw him lol +1 active guy and seems nice
  8. Thank you all very much, with that being said I want to reiterate I'm not that active and will most likely not be very active as an admin, coming in some weeknights when I have time.
  9. Required: Ingame Nickname: Willy Wilson Discord username: willybasedwilson Age: 26 SteamID: 76561198099621809 What server are you applying for (ZR or ZE server?): Ze Optional: (Feel free to answer one or more questions) Why are you interested in applying for admin? Honestly I don't think I'm active enough to merit admin, though others may believe that I am. With that being said, I'm very much want to help see css zombie escape grow and I feel the helping nide is the best chance I have of achieving that goal. This is the ze server I play on the most and I truly love late night na nights and feel that it's some of the best ways to spend my time. I ideally want to help the server grow and not continue to lose players. What time zone are you active in (NA or EU hours)? 99% of the time NA 1% EU How long have you been playing on the server which you applied for? Since before .gg idk 8 years? How experienced are you in the gamemode for which you applied? I am unfamiliar with a lot of newer maps made within the last 5 years and frankly dislike a lot of modern laser solo maps (but surf outside and maps like that are very cool, or stardust battleground). I'm most experienced with casual maps though I'm also a tryhard for certain maps like Minas, lms, and even mako. Do you have any past admin experience? I have played and administrated a lot of ze servers in both css and csgo. I've previously been an admin at this server, gfl css, gfl csgo, and Syndicate gamers. I may need to brush up on my admin commands and on the current culture (i.e. I'm pretty pro micspam and autism and I know I would have to mute / be less tolerant as an admin) Do you have any other skills like (Mapping, Plugins, Drawing, Video editing etc) I used to make youtube videos, so a little bit of editing.
  10. I feel honored to be part of a lot of people's top 10. Quite frankly thank you all very much for that, it means a lot. With that being said here's my top 10 just based on mechanical skill and how well they played compared to other players at the time. Yoshmi Tony Montana Backy (if anyone of you played when he was active he was the best zombie player I've ever seen) Cron Ruo Rulucy (old Japanese player also played on gfl css) Hestia (old Korean player) Warrior Batatata Jaenas
  11. Are you an Asian girl who's over 21 and lives in Chicago, nyc or houston? If so you can call me "sugar willy"
  12. No particular order, and i have some honorable mentions for pirates port Royale, castle crashers, king theba, space race, oneris, mountain, isengard, rooftop, icecap, madness, dead core, valkgang, bioshock, fapescape, abandoned project, toaster, mirrors edge, and helms deep. Ze_potc (first map with any semblance of lasers through the jumps and crouch on the wheel and very well made for the time, even including items and still is good today with bhop) Ze paranoid (the biggest skill check in ze, I think this map quite literally stands as the goat, pretty much every player that plays for over 5 years notes this map as a good map, for good reason it's essentially the best of "zombie escape", it's random, pvp, allows skill expression, let's you troll, allows team wins and has varried gameplay) Ze last man standing (gold standard for what a ze map should be, accessible enough a noob can beat the team win ending, hard enough to keep pros inventing new strats for years to come, allows you to be carried by a few good players on either human or zombie team assuming older editions of zombie items) Ze santassination (csgos defining map, and lot of staying power and provides great gameplay for humans (and zombies in css but only in css) aside from the zombie cages) Ze Minas tirith (one of the best pvp maps in ze serving as a great skill check) Ze predator ultimate (kinda the standard staged map for years, set the standard and allows a lot of players to win a hard map) Ze random (random chunks having a great first use so amazining, very creative and allows good learning opportunities) Ze mist (i prefer other soft serve maps but this literally is the most influential map in the last 8 years, fair to say most Chinese maps post it's release have taken influence) Ze ffvii mako reactor (literally invented level, bosses and lasers) Ze boatescape (just iconic, it was essentially the standard ze "simple" map)
  13. I've thought long and hard and will be requiring apps from a few players, specifically Luigi, Djinnz and Hobgoblin, I'll be flying out Tony Montana, Yoshmi and Feach to conduct some rigorous interviews, and will be expecting 10,000 word thesis statements on ze experience, with peer reviews ofc.
  14. It was a setting from an old server, plaguefest, but honestly I figured it would be a good idea for a speedrun to force triggers asap and encourage new strats to really push faster to stop players from running out of ammo. To be fair it's easy not to run out of ammo, just use your pistols and then swap to your main gun / save your main gun for the big boss
  15. Love the rules, unfortunately I feel like bhop should be enabled solely due to the fact that I know 1/2 the pro players will complain if it's not enabled as it will allow for slightly less skill expression but I'm open to changing it, my suggested maps included maps where I felt movement would play a factor, but wouldn't hurt the team, i.e. no one's early triggering so fast that it kills people. Also, I'd love to add ze_assault but unfortunately extreme makes my dick too hard to focus on anything other than cumming and the lasers?! my god..... I shoot up like a diamond. Seriously though isn't assault a nide exclusive? if not I can add it as a suggestion
  16. Hi Nide, hope all is well. I am writing this post today to suggest a friendly competition amongst any of the currently existing ZE servings, primarily, Nide, GFL and Unloze. I'm suggesting each server host an event where we all compete to see who can speedrun a set of maps the fastest with the same settings being used for all servers, would this be something you guys are interested in? It would serve as a friendly competition, foster a collaborative spirit and hopefully introduce your community to players who haven't been there before. I'm suggesting we speedrun the following maps: ze_potc_v3_4fix ze_FFVII_Mako_Reactor_v5_3 ze_frostdrake_tower_v1s Additionally, I think some maps, i.e. ze_icecap_escape_v3 or ze_predator_ultimate_v3 or ze_boatescape6_remix_fix2 could replace the maps but wanted to ask everyone what they thought. Suggested Rules: 2000 Ammo for all guns & no Rebuys Bhop Enabled Sv_air_accelerate 10 PF settings for the rest I'm open to discussing the rules, however they need to be universal settings so everyone can have a fair and equal chance, additionally, as it's a speedrun, it would be your time on each map from spawn in until the end of map screen, we can use demos to time additionally. What do you think? Recently I suggested an idea privately to a few people and wanted to reach out to everyone and see if it vibed with them. Please do let me know what maps you think would be fun to speedrun / you wouldn't mind resetting. Also let me know any setting preferences you would have. Thanks. Update: Based on Keen (unloze admin)'s suggestion, I'm now offering to give the winning server 25 USD, and host a poll following the event to provide the winning server's MVP (whoever members of the winning server vote) 25 USD prize as well.
  17. +1 I don't think a full demotion was necessary from my understanding of what had happened. Hope you can be admin again as despite the autism you never abused and always seemed unbiased. I always thought you acted in the interest of the sv rather than in your own personal interest or for a mEMe which makes for good admin material
  18. Hey just wanted to follow up and say thank you to the admins, I've been seeing a lot more active admins on since I made this post during na hours and it seems to have helped the server population a lot.
  19. Hey everyone just to revive the thread for a little bit after talking to @ Hobbitten I figured these may be maps that were old and could also spice up gameplay a little bit. ze_ffvii_mako_reactor_v1_4_1 ze_ffxii_ridorana_cataract_b6 ze_ffxii_westersand_v5_2 ze_lotr_isengard_v1_5 (Vanya will write you all a thank you note ze_predator_ultimate_v1_3 (best predator boss fight ever) ze_Rooftop_Autism_Runaway_v1_1 (are you there billy? It's me van) ze_zk_fapescape_a11 (if fapescape was just an ice cap copy)
  20. Literally addressed this criticism in my initial post.
  21. Hey Hobbitten, I didn't mean to blame or judge doogla, sticky or parta, for any perceived lack of playtime. Obviously irl stuff >>>>>>> ze just wanted to note the issues I felt the server was experiencing. I do however want to say thanks for checking in on who could be good trial admins or finding people to fill the roles that have either been demoted or are on a leave of absence / down on playtime. Regarding Tex, sorry I didn't mention you as I have seen you around more recently and still appreciate the job that you do as admin and felt you had become one of few. @ Kamisama Kaneki and @ Subaru Natsuki I like both of your perspectives and thank you for posting, however I feel like the server needs a self sustaining population during casual maps as well. Constantly playing tryhard maps will mean players constantly expecting tryhard maps, and when they drop off the population for casual maps can't sustain itself. I think it's unrealistic to expect as many events / tryhard sessions as were happening though I think these do need to happen on a regular basis, just not as much as previously.
  22. Hi Nide.gg community, I know I'm not the most active player right now, honestly over the past six months I've played intermittently, mostly on random weeknights probably two to three times a week depending on my schedule for a few hours at a time though since returning to ze and playing with some consistency. I wanted to make a note of this at the beginning of my post as I have a bias and am not entirely cognizant of all the communities issues and trends. I do think though that my long time in ZE, almost eight years now (of that I've played on nide at night time for six or seven of those years), my former stay as an admin on nide from 2020 until 2021 / 22 (can't really remember), being the first admin on nide to start North American events and watching numerous communities such as syndicate gamers, steam gamers, and gfl css die, that my experience may provide some insight and some basis for the existing nide leadership and player base. I want to emphasize that I care A LOT about ensuring that this server stays alive to that as many people as possible can enjoy zombie escape going forward. There is a disturbing trend that I have noticed in the past few months, and it's a declining amount of admins and active north American players, specifically on casual maps and I think these issues are interrelated. I've noticed in the past few months multiple admins be demoted, notably Toxic, Hobgoblin, and MaxingKing though I may have missed others. These admins have explained frustrations to me with the server though I don't know everyone's perspective and am going to hold off on making any judgement, though I feel like if three active admins that have play consistently and try to populate the server, there at least needs to be replacements prior to demotion. With older admins such as StickyClicker or bacon seem to not being as active as they were months or years ago, and newer admins such as Doogla and Parta have come on, and are doing a great job, they aren't able to fill the same gaps of experience from other admins simply and due to time constraints. The trend of lower player numbers during na time, especially on casual maps, isn't impossible to fix, and can't be blamed entirely on "css is a dead game it's 20 years old" as people have been making that argument since 2017, when nide's na nights were dead as f*ck with 15 people and no admins, and css player counts have remained somewhat consistent since then. Someone may also say "school is ending it's finals season" but this has been an issue since march and I doubt that finals have been taking place for three months. There have been more and more occurences recently of me being on the server and an admin not being present to mute, or help fix a broken map, this happened just tonight where a map glitched and no admin was on to slay zms at the end so humans had to suicide to end the round. I think an overemphasis on tryhard maps has been a major issue as of late, and the server is burning itself out for na players. Na has historically been primarily casual with some tryhard, and it's fine to vary it up, however there are a lot fewer admins who are appealing to the more casual players and it's being shown through the decline in server population during na hours. My experience is one person's though there have been numerous nights recently where I've had to come on and populate nide to get the population from 10-15 players to 30+ using lotr maps, boatescape and the like, and while I can do that, I think more casual admins need to be appointed to fill that role and ensure the na playerbase doesn't die. I want to ask nide in this post to seriously examine if there are any potential candidates or volunteers to help fill the roles that more casual admins played to keep newer players joining the server through more casual maps, or potentially work out any differences with former admins such as toxic, hobgoblin, or maxingking who could assist with the server still though in a diminished capacity, such as remaining "trial admins" until any outstanding issues are resolved or replacements are found. There is simply a lack of admins and people to help populate na night time after the tryhards leave the server and it's become a much more apparent issue lately. tl;dr I think it's short sided to demote long time server admins without at least finding suitable replacements who can ensure that na hours remains populated and have a consistent flow of casual maps to keep newer players happy and joining the server. I am asking that nide think about promoting or scouting people who could pop na during the night time and offering them a chance as admin. The server population during na hours has been on a consistent decline due to this.
  23. General response: Thank you all for getting back to me, glad to see others would be interested in varying up gameplay and I'm glad the suggestion seems to be going over well, I'd love to hear from Lardy and Koen what they think but my main goal here is to have a discussion and whole I'm advocating for me preferred maps I'm open to see if anyone else has any suggestions for old maps to play. My suggested maps are that, suggestions and so I'm not advocating just those maps. While selfishly I'd love to play random v9 and paranoid v10 (bird and turtle items are just the best thing ever) but I'm flexible and do hope anyone else who wants to offers old maps or versions that may also serve to invigorate the playerbase. Individual responses: Thanks Life, always appreciate seeing you as I don't see you much these days! A lot of that comes down to me being antisocial and busy with life I'm happy with two maps being in at the same time and just sharing a cool down and I think it's a great idea. Also Hobitten, my apologies about Mako v3 hadn't realized it crashes the server. Ignore that one. Regarding sticky and Mountain BBO, we don't have to do that one. There's a separate Sonaki version that was played a while ago on GFL and I don't have the file but I'm sure it's out there somewhere and it plays differently so may be worth a shot Sticky. Thanks everyone for getting back to me on this.
  24. Hi Nide, Hope you are all doing well, I am making this forum post as a request to rotate certain versions to maps which have exciting, and interesting older versions which are currently underplayed, and seemingly unknown to much of the playerbase. After speaking with numerous players last night on ze_random_v10fix I came to realize that many of them hadn't played ze_random_v9, despite it being more popular on unloze than v10, and seemingly may not have known any surface level differences. I feel like a lot of older ze maps have interesting, unique, and significant gameplay changes which vary from the traditional versions that the nide community is used to. Through varying map choices and rotating, or at least switching for a time and seeing how the server reacts, I believe that the nide playerbase will benefit from a 'new' (well technically old) take on a lot of popular maps, whether that map emphasize team defending more (such as minas v2 emphasizing defending more than v3) or emphasize bhopping more (mount doom v3 which is a lot easier to bhop on than mount doom v4) I feel like these gameplay elements may serve to help the server improve their gameplay, vary up the gameplay, and keep a lot of the existing maps which are played frequently 'fresh'. Rather than playing minas marathon, or paranoid for the 1000th time, why not try something similar, but new? While a lot of these older maps are older for a reason, many of them are more enjoyable in some ways than more recent versions. As mentioned earlier random_v9 is a lot more popular on GFL css and Unloze than random_v10fix. I'm suggesting that the following maps be rotated in for one day out of the week, or potentially one week out of the month, or even just added to the public nomlist outright (for a trial period) so that they can be played and the nide playerbase may enjoy the challenge of maps they know, but with a different taste. ze_random_v9 ze_paranoid_ultimate_v10_4 ze_lotr_minas_tirith_v2_2fix ze_ffvii_mako_reactor_v3_1 ze_tesv_skyrim_v2_2fix (or v3, but I don't know where a download is for it) ze_lotr_mount_doom_v3 ze_mountain_escape_bbo_v1 (this version used to be played a lot and is still fun, but I haven't seen it in years and can't see if it's still on the noms list as the link from ingame here: https://nide.gg/css_ze_maplist/ is down) ze_ut2004_convoy_v2_1 (don't have a download link, but it's got a harder boss fight) Please let me know what you all think, and I'd love to hear how the nide playerbase feels about these maps.
  25. Nide is going to win Santa. I can't wait to see it!
