HEYHEYHEYHEYHEYHEYHEYHEYHEYHEYHEYHEY!!1 (DON'T YOU DARE CHANGE THIS WONDERFUL FONT AND THIS MARVELOUS TOPIC TITLE!!111)
Didn't expect me to re-apply for this server? Well, I didn't expect it either! One thing is certain for sure: I really love trolleybuses! They're literally the best means of public transportation! Oh, and as for the application itself!

  • In-game nickname: Sticky (or Sticky_Pg, if you don't want to confuse me with stickyC)
  • Discord usernamesticky_pg
  • Age: 20 (btw, my first application was when I only was 16yo)
  • SteamID: STEAM_0:1:219028874
  • What server are you applying for (ZR or ZE server?): Zombie Escape, just like my previous time being an admin

Why are you interested in applying for admin?

Despite not being a nolifer, like I once was, I still have a soft spot in my heart for this gamemode, for many wonderful maps it has and for all the people I have met during all my time playing this gamemode and being an admin for more than two years. Due to going through some really hard times, I had to resign from being an admin, because I could not keep up being active in the game when I had bigger problems in my life. But now, my life has become better than ever after I became a student! I have met so many wonderful people and new friends! And because I have free time again, I have decided that it would be a nice idea if I come back to the team, even if I don't play that much!

What time zone are you active in (NA or EU hours)?

I'm a European and I'm active primarly at European (GMT+3) hours and late EU/early NA time. I'm also a second-year student of The Faculty of Linguistics, so I can play whenever I have free time from hobbies, other games and assignments. But be aware that I may appear quite inactive sometimes because of the university life!

For how long have you been playing on the server which you applied for?

I've been in the ZE and NiDE specifically since late 2020. And guess what? My first time playing on NiDE was playing this wonderful event which made me obsessed with a certain lion king map(LET'S PLAY SANTA, YES)

How experienced are you in the gamemode for which you applied?

I consider myself decent-ish at every skillset you can think of, but what I'm excell at is defensive gameplay. I usually always go for and get Top Defender awards when I'm focused on the game and that skill earned me an EOD moderator/manager position. However, the main skill that I have in this gamemode is my communication. I REALLY love talking with people and engaging in any type of conversation!

Do you have any past admin experience?

Two and a half years of being an admin, which include one year and two months of being a Lead Server Admin and more than 67 events I made as an Event Manager (yes, I counted almost all of them) should speak up for themselves. The Event Manager part in particular is very important to me, as I really loved making events and put all my time and effort in making them. My favourite events of my making were: BlueGreenJRPGAlpha and the Christmas Super Event. Those were quite peculiar in their own ways and I like them for that!

Do you have any other skills like mapping, plugins, drawing, video editing etc.

Of course I do! I've REALLY been into drawing and it has became my main hobby since the last year. I draw mainly on traditional mediums like paper, but sometimes I do also draw digitally.  Besides drawing, I have some basic video editing skills, which I want to use to start a YouTube channel dedicated to retro games and everything surrounding them. And for you, plugin developers, as a future linguist, I can translate anything from English to Russian better than any machine translator (maybe)! You'll get translations and I'll get experience for my studies, so it's a win-win situation. Other noteworthy skills may include Photoshopping, my imagination, me being quite good with timezones and me having some knowledge in Philosophy

WHEW!!1 That was quite a lot of colours, wasn't it? But let's get back to the point! Open up the spoiler to see the main thing about this application!

Spoiler

Trolleybuses, often abbreviated as TBs, have a lengthy service history in all corners of the world and are known to cope with the most severe of climates and service conditions. They are considered proven technology.

Trolleybuses draw power from overhead wires located above the roadway for all or part of their route, in much the same manner as a streetcar, tram or LRT vehicle. They typically operate on 600 or 750 volts. Because they can draw power directly from the grid, they can be highly energy efficient as the energy conversion and storage losses are less than those of other electric technologies. They emit no fumes into the streets, and they operate quietly.

Modern trolleybuses can be and usually are equipped with batteries that charge when they operate under wire, and these batteries can allow for regular off-wire operation for considerable distances. This is known as “In Motion Charging” (IMC). This means that in a modern trolleybus system, as little as 1/3 of a given route may actually be under wire-depending on factors such as vehicle specifications, climate and route length. Wire can be installed in central areas where it can be shared by several routes, and the vehicles may diverge from this wire to serve unwired areas.

Unlike battery buses, trolleybuses do not require infrastructure inside the garage or depot to charge them when they are not in service. In fact, in modern trolleybus systems, there is typically no wire in the garages or storage depots other than what is required to make a connection to the line voltage for servicing in the maintenance shop. The vehicles move in, out and about the garage or depot on battery power.

Trolleybuses are the most reliable of all electric buses. This is mostly because they have been in use for many decades, and their technology has evolved as the vehicles evolved. If power is drawn from green sources, they are also the most environmentally responsible electric bus because, although they are typically equipped with batteries, they do not require as many batteries as a battery electric bus would, and therefore do not pose the same level of environmental hazard associated with battery production and disposal. Trolleybuses also have the best performance of all electric buses, particularly when under wire, and they are easily heated or air-conditioned without the need to consume onboard power. They are considered to be a high performance vehicle.

Trolleybuses typically cost more to install than other types of electric buses because the infrastructure required for their operation is more extensive. Therefore, one would normally select busy, high patronage routes for trolleybus operation so as to offset the higher investment with higher revenue and to capitalize on the trolleybus‘ superior performance characteristics.

Trolleybus infrastructure has a very long lifespan, so they are considered a long term investment, with the investment being depreciated over a period of 60 years or more. What is important to realize is that the conversion from internal combustion to electric vehicles will not come without very large investments regardless of the type of electric vehicle chosen, and so if trolleybuses are being installed on suitable routes, that would represent a sound investment in electric public transport for decades to come.

Trolleybuses are currently used in around 300 cities throughout the world. A number of European cities that had abandoned trolleybus operations in the past have built new trolleybus systems. It is anticipated that trolleybuses will form a key component in the transition to an all-electric public transportation system in San Francisco, Seattle and Vancouver in the 21st century.
