Changes in mic muting

I was thinking about this lately due to the fact that some players use the mic for 1 sec and get insta muted by retard admins who try to win the olympics of fastest muting, while other spammers can play Barbie girl for 20 mins straight and when players complain the admins go like “BuT wE wErE vIbInG”.

the suggestion: make it that after a specific % of players in the server use !sm command on someone (for example 20% of the players online in the server), admins get notified and have the choice whether to mute or not. That way we can actually f*cking tell if players are vibing or there needs to be a mute.

But also make sure that until the specific % of !sm gets reached, some dumass admin can’t just run to !mute after 1 sec cause he thinks he’ll get “admin of the month” award for most mutes or something.

edit: lmao I imagined you ni**ers take it to a whole other level, pulling off something like “we now have a system to count lennies per minute to analyze vibes” or some sh*t hahahahaha but yes feel free to give ideas also if you have cause it’s better than the sh*t mutes now and I don’t even have mic

extra edit: read this again, admins get notified and have the choice whether to mute or not. it wont be abused. its just a notify message and admins will decide if they wanna act or not

Thanks for the feedback. Out of curiosity was the admin a donated admin or a server admin? We don’t have much of a standard for donated admins and if they abuse their position they will be demoted. And did this happen during an event? We are slightly more strict with the rules during events.

I like the idea, although some people might abuse this and we have to take that in consideration to prevent that from happening.

It "can't" be abused, if someone wants to !sm a player it's his decision (so shouldn't be punished).

But since the mute won't be automatic, admin will still have to decide, so the only thing to prevent "abuse", would be the admin himself

Idea is bad because it can annoy admins or certain players can do little trolling by sm people, let's say they call some friends and they can do it you never know, abuse it just so notified admin come for no reason. How about after certain % of !sm instead notifying admins that player is !sm X times admins just punish them like they do already, so far there wasnt an issue at least I didnt see any, admins muting spamming people normally etc or people who are annoying with shit mics like "Quadius" or what his name is.

It's just my opinion ofc about this suggestion.

Idea sounds great but the question is if Tech admins wanna create or dev this. @Kitsuneand I mentioned it I think earlier this week. I did not think it showed enough interest for them. But I can ask again about it.

Your suggestion is good but I dont think admins getting notified on how much someone gets of !sm will fix the situation (at least not that change alone) there will still be more people treated unfairly but just with a new system

But I agree with you that its frustrating to get muted for sometimes not a lot when others can spam like they want

I think the correct way to fix the situation is to make the mutes rules clearer right now its very blurry,by very blurry meaning practically all admins just try to do like everyone else is doing,so it's not very helpful and players dont know whats allowed anymore.

I think the situation is equally as annoying for admins and players alike when someone starts speaking an other language or plays music we dont even know if we should mute or not and it leaves a lot of doubt on what is the right choice. funniest part is when more than 1 admin connected and we stay both clueless talking in admin chat about what to do lmao.

But to be honest with you I doubt that an autism vibe side would be included in the rules as like its pretty chaotic

I think there is some logic behind the rules being vague because they cant cover anything but I still think they could get more details like perhaps a distinction between Hard focus map with like a leader and all where it makes sense to mute severly and random maps like boat escape where maybe rules should give a bit more freedom and like wether players are complaining from a spammer or not could be taken into account but I think it doesnt make sense to make rules that depend of people current opinion on the server 

To give a quick example as to why if for example onii chan started speaking we would all insta !sm him just for the memes (sorry shaan but u know it had to be a clear example)

 

I dont know why i wrote all of this but I wanted like to cover all of what I expercienced and some other admins too,maybe some of you have different opinions but from talking to a few other admins they all share some of what I said at least.
