I will take a good look again at how these maps are played and how the server is going after 1 of these map.

i also have my preferred maps but I can’t do it just for myself since I’m not admin for myself but for everyone who enjoy to play on Nide.

We need to have a good diversity in maps rotations and I already increased CD on surf/atix/nemesis maps and decreased the value « minplayers» for harder maps to let more choices for players because we have a large players data base on Nide and playing ff marathon or let players play what they want when they want is not possible.

i also made statistics about what style of maps are the most played and it wasn’t Balanced, it’s true, it’s why I did theses change.

 

Hello guys, after many weeks, i noticed that Final Fantasy maps are not played at all on the server.
i don't want to remove the current "ff nom" system that we have on theses maps but i think that they should be more played on NiDe.

The thing is, actually, when a ff map is played on the server, it's played for too long time (almost 2 hours sometimes) because they are everytime extended 2 times 15 mins plus 1 randomly time between 5-15mins by admins.

What has been modified/added:

-Increased the possibility to "extend" during the votemap, players could choose to extend or not the map one more time than before during this vote:

-Removed extends that would be manually added by admins: ADMINS ARE NOT ALLOWED ANYMORE TO EXTENDS THESES MAPS EVEN IF THE MAP IS NOT FINISH AND EVEN IF THE SCORE IS GOOD.

thx a lot for your application and the effort you made to buy admin to show your interest to become admin on Nide.

your application is well written and as old admin, i remember that you tried your best for Nide.

the only thing i would say is to stop to use msay for no reasons and to stop to spam in chat « VOTE LOTR OR BAN!!! » when one of theses maps is nominated, even if you won’t ban anyone for this reason.

as admin we must be impartial even if, it’s alright, you have popularity from some players.

Thx for your application and thank you for your interest that you give on Nide to become admin on the server.

Your time connection on the server is to short (17 hours) but since you has already been admin and since you was connected recently so maybe in the future, when you will be more active, why not, at the moment it’s no.

good application exept the criticism toward UNLOZE, I don’t remember that it’s « Nide against UNLOZE » and tbh if I can help both servers i will because nowadays 80 percents of people play on both server, and it’s better like that.

about your application, it’s not bad, short but well written.

about you, effectively people can change, you also really active and your maps knowledge especially about ff/hard ones is really good so, if it was your first application i would instantly give a +1 but now and after your previous trial period, the things are different and must be clear at start (in that case where you would be accepted): 

-act for yourself: prohibited.

-insert ff maps or hard ones when you want or when some players ask you to do: prohibited.

-etransfer item just because the player is inexperienced: prohibited.

The thing you need to do:

* keep an impartial behavior towards players and act for the server is the thing that u need to learn, everyone doesn’t have your maps knowledge or your skill and then, at this point, u must take a different look on every situations because every situations are different.

this is a really well application, Seems you take time when you do something and i probably don’t learn you that but it’s needed when you are admin on a server because a good action can be really closed to an abuse if you don’t take a good look on the situations.

effectively your time connection is approximately 23 hours and it’s not that much, maybe I’m wrong but it’s meaning that your knowledge about maps that we play on the server is probably not really good too so at start I would say -1 for the moment.

to be honest, according to your application, I would say big +1 if u keep playing on Nide and then, apply again with a better time connection and a better maps knowledge.

Why did you get Van ban ?

why don’t you want to be « hard ass » in the beginning ? It’s mean that you will change later?

i talked with Lighting and he apologize about this extend.

since this map is not played that often due to a high CD i can understand that you guys want to beat it but yeah, you right, at least, make a vote to let players decide if they want to play one more round.

regarding about extending a map, we have precise rules, it’s true, but an admin must also know to listen the players (within the limits of the reasonable) and why not, on some maps that are difficult/not played that often/appreciated by players/ with a high CD make a vote to extend only if the map is not beaten.

comme l’a dit Killik plus haut, il y’a des règles qui interdise l’utilisation des items si ces derniers donne un avantage certain à l’utilisateur qui, bien évidemment, ne sont pas accessibles pour les autres joueurs de la même équipe.

le ban qui a donc été appliqué est justifié.

as you know, we already talked about this case and actually it’s difficult to handle players who doesn’t shoot boss at lasers if no plugin is added to deal with that  and, even if it’s added some others problems could happen.

There is something important to bring up before to add a rule like this one: of course the plugin will deal with players who doesn’t shoot in lasers part (slay them/ drugs them whatever) but some players are not able to shoot boss and dodge lasers at the same time so they will be penalized by this rule.

but, we recently allowed admins to do an « extra round » where everyone is free do not shoot at lasers if they want to « solo » only when the map is beaten so here is my opinion:

we should add this plugin because this mod still a teamwork after all and the player who are top defender but not able to dodge lasers ( or maybe 3 -4 )could survive if all the team was forced to shoot the boss on lasers. 
also, players can learn to play, so, there is no more reason to let « good players » not shooting at lasers until to reach this « extra round ».

about « drugs » players in lasers who doesn’t shoot, i just think it’s smarter to drugs players instead of directly slay them, just because it’s a game, and since good players love Chalenge, it just could be more interesting for them and also fair for the others.

really good and short application , I’m happy to see a good player like you applying to become admin on Nide but seems you apparently already been, it shouldn’t be difficult for you to deal with those powers.

u also said that u sometimes disagree with some decisions of our team and if you good as admin like you are good as player, it could be interesting to talk about that with you if you are promoted to server admin after your trial period because, first you are accepted and second like I always say, nothing is definitive.

i don’t really agree with you and I will explain why.

in your current answer, you generalize and if I’m right you are saying that all Or almost all « lasers maps players » will be punished because they won’t shoot the boss on lasers, I don’t think it’s true. 

Also, like I said in my previous reply, we can, if players want to play extra(s) round(s) allow « solo time » when they beaten the map, so, it’s fair at my opinion to play the map seriously  to reach this « extra time » because everyone is not able to do a solo on those maps and some « average » players could beat the map if u play it seriously.

the thing is, we can’t really allow this selfish behavior, especially when all team carried you to beat the map but died at the end even more when you take item and use it for yourself.

you are a smart player and I pretty sure that you will understand « admin point of view » 

last thing, for the moment, we are just thinking about to slay and not more, don’t make us change our opinion and then thinking about a more severe punishment.

Thx for this really interesting report.

It’s not the first time that we are talking about give punishment(s) on those « skilled solo players » when the only goal for them is to solo on a hard lasers map instead of to use their skills to help the team to win.

they are some things to see before give a punishment about that because it’s not easy and here is my opinion:

- if the player try to defend as he can during the whole round, using his item properly, think team and not for himself but he isn’t enough good to dodge lasers + shooting at the same time, this is acceptable because I think that this player is just thinking about to survive before to do a solo.

-if the player is knows as a skilled player, take item for himself and start to shoot the boss on lasers only when he is solo as human, then we could start to think about slay him, but, to be honest we can’t really do more.

about using item for himself,  not using it at all, blocking vision, kill the team on purpose then eban + ban will be the appropriate punishment (depend of the troll ofc, in some situations, eban will be enough)

the hardest point is to know who acting for the team and who acting for himself at my opinion. 

Last thing: i want to be fair with everyone and, if the team beaten the map and choose to extend this one for extra(s) round(s), it could be interesting for those players to allow « the solo time » in those extra(s) round(s) where everyone is free  do not shoot boss at lasers if they want to solo.

Good application, good player and probably a good admin if you are accepted.

Well Witten application, seems you are really motivated to become admin + developer and it's a really good start, your connection time is good too and if i'm right u also a good player.

Two things: we never kick aimbot, if u notice an amibot as trial, call an higher admin to ban him directly and about ban duration 1 Week is 10080 not 10800 .

Actually this one is not an abuse.

Bro Man Salam tried to help cts by giving infinite ammo but he didn’t know how to give nades so it wasn’t on purpose.

also, Shadow, my question is: would you have reported him if you had won the round? I think no. It’s meaning 1 thing: make a report if an admin is abusing his power or you see he is incompetent but don’t report an admin just because u lost the round because Bro Man Salam is a really good admin and, he did his best to help you.

last thing, @gabrielwhy did you post all those videos there? If you noticed that Bro Man Salam abuse his power, then, don’t wait « the good moment » and make a properly report because I have more the impression that u have something against him personally than his work as admin. I suggest you do not do it anymore or I will restrict your access there.
